2012 was an incredibly good year for Vincent Wine Company. Here are just a few of the highlights:
- We sold out of our 2010 vintage this past spring in just half the time it took us to sell our first vintage, 2009. And we had 50% more wine in 2010. People seem to be interested in what we’re doing.
- We gained distribution in New York and Washington, and traveled twice to NYC to promote our wines. Selling wine in the Big Apple is a dream come true. We look forward to building our presence there and elsewhere in the coming year.
- In a promotion with our partners in our other project, Guild Winemakers, we had our 2010 Vincent Pinot Noir Ribbon Ridge in every Whole Foods Market location throughout Oregon and Washington.
- And for our fourth harvest as Vincent Wine Company, we moved into the SE Wine Collective, an excellent new urban winery facility in SE Portland. We have a beautiful tasting bar that’s open Wed-Sun and we’re growing our production, including a small amount of Chardonnay to complement our portfolio of Pinot Noirs.
For a wine geek turned garage winemaker turned winery owner, all in the span of the past few years, I could not have imagined the success we’re having. Thank you as always for your interest and support. We’re planning lots of things for 2013, so stay tuned. And come see us if you’re in Portland. The SE Wine Collective address is 2425 SE 35th Place, at Division.
